Our Story

How I Knew I Found My Person

Mohammed first met Grace during a hike at Eaton Canyon with some mutual friends. His initial impression was that she was a bit shy, and they didn’t really talk much throughout the hike.

A couple of years later, they met again; it was at another social gathering with friends. This time, they had a brief conversation about their childhood upbringing. While they had differing views, it was a meaningful discussion for the both of them. Grace's open-mindedness stood out to Mohammed; she was genuinely interested in hearing his perspective without trying to change his views while talking about her views as well.

Throughout their relationship, they were both very supportive, compassionate, and understanding towards each other - in spite Mohammed's workaholic behavior and Grace's youthful demeanor. There were many times where Mohammed chose to work instead of enjoying holidays and weekends together; yet Grace didn’t mind and continued to be supportive and positive. When Mohammed was not at work, he took the time to learn about Grace and her interests. She can spend hours unraveling the nuances of a Isla Nublar, Hogwarts, and Middle Earth, convinced that every detail holds a deeper meaning. However, when Grace gets lost in the intricacies of a story, Mohammed is there, anchoring her with a reality check, ensuring she doesn’t drift too far. Together, they create a love that’s both enchanting and real—Grace dreaming of the impossible, and Mohammed making it attainable.

Escape rooms have always been their go-to activity, even before Pokemon Go! Grace loves to stretch their brains and work on team activities. Mohammed loves Grace’s excitement about puzzles and is always amazed at her ability to see things that most people cannot.

In one of their very first escape rooms together, they were on the final lock with 5 minutes left. The final clue was some numbers that looked like it would be an analog clock with the letter B in front, but there was no digital clock in the room. Mohammed was completely lost on how to move forward to escape, but Grace remembered there was a Bible that was not used. Using Sunday school knowledge from 10+ years ago, Grace was able to deduce that the clue is meant to find a passage within the bible. Within that passage was the code to their first win as a 2 player team in escape rooms.

From then on, they knew that they can rely on each other to be the winning team. They are ready to give 90%, trusting that the other will bring the last 10% to make their team complete.
